MarketCall is a cloud-based digital software module and mobile device app for Traders and Growers operating in wholesale fruit and vegetable markets. It addresses the documentation and record keeping requirements of the Horticulture Code of Conduct legislation, is cost effective, intuitive and simple to use.
MarketCall is one of four modules in an industry-wide suite of software modules from Secure Market Ltd. It is currently in usability testing phase with prospective customers and will soon be released commercially. The suite includes:
MarketCall has an administrative portal where standard documents are assembled with many prepared sections, clauses and sub-clauses. These provide a range of options available in the user portal from where clients create documents such as Horticulture Produce Agreements and Terms of Trade. These standard clauses can be selected and grouped, modified or deleted to create templates and models for the individual requirements of each Trader - Grower relationship as required under the Code.
Users create, review and transmit documents, to which their partners respond. The documents, together with questions, answers and authorisations are stored by MarketCall, providing a central repository for both Traders and their Growers with full access and to also meet the 6 year retention requirements of the Code.
A system of merge codes and entity variables allows standard documents to be established for licensees.
Traders using MarketCall add their own Growers privately, including users and communication details, so that details of all trading partners are visible only to users within the licensed entity.
The MarketCall Mobile Device App provides interactive, private and direct connect between growers and the staff of traders in the form of a Chat, enabling text, with photos and documents as attachments to flow and be automatically and immediately recorded on the user portal. These overcome the store and retrieve issues otherwise faced when using standard messaging and other diverse methods because the Code requires all price agreements and other information to be stored for extended periods.
With all chat messaging conducted between trading pairs using the MarketCall Mobile Device App, all communications across staff members of Trader and Grower are viewed on the portal, providing a central point of management and review while meeting the requirements of the Horticulture Code of Conduct.
Written in industry-standard MS program languages utilising MVC architecture, MarketCall uses MS SQL database structures and web services. The MarketCall Mobile Device App is written across platforms with iOS version for Apple devices and an Android version for others.
